Dance Gems students may be entered for ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers' of Dancing) and RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) examinations. These organisations are governed under regulation from Ofqual and adhere to a range of codes of conduct and requirements. To ensure that the work taught is up to date and of a high standard all staff undertake regular Continued Professional Development.

There are programmes specifically for young people. A quick assessment of which level is best for students to enter may be necessary if an applicant has never danced before.
